Imageevent is an ad-free site that supports itself through membership fees rather than sponsors. The site provides support for many types of files and large file support, up to 100MB. They support most video formats and provide URLs for personal use. Imageevent offers services that are convenient. If you want bells and whistles, you have to add them yourself – but Imageevent offers many ways to do so.
A 21-day free trial is offered.
A continuous "What's New" blog informs users of new features.
[#Unique#]
Permanent storage with membership, multiple privacy options, large file storage and image hosting make this site a practical choice. They support many file types, including video and Office documents.
Online albums have tons of personalization settings.
Albums can be linked to another member and submitted to a gallery.
A great feature that many sites do not offer is the album statistics display, which allows you to track all activity in your albums.
This site also provides unlimited bandwidth for image hosting and one line of HTML per photo. They also provide URL links for posting on sites like Ebay.
[#Membership#]
Membership gives you a 1500MB of storage, unlimited bandwidth, guestbook, 10% off all prints and products and all of the usual sharing and storage features.
Premium memberhsip allows all types of files to be uploaded, including MS Office documents, Lotus spreadsheets, SWF, PDF, HTML and more.
[#Drawbacks#]
This site is not free and even with membership you only get 1500MB of storage. Prints are expensive and the shopping experience is dull. The site gets right down to business with no fun graphics, extraneous games, etc. If that is your preference, the dullness might actually be a benefit.
The public gallery is very limited. It is not a widely known site and it seems to be used more for personal viewing than public exposure.
[#Uploading#]
Imageevent claims to offer five options for uploading, but it is really just three, plus you can email photos or mail in a CD. The upload applications can upload batches and has the drag and drop feature, but you must preview the files in your own file window because the modules do not have automatic previews.

[#Storage#]
Only 1500MB are included with membership. The large file' storage is good for video files. Albums can be laid out in various formats and photos can be displayed in various sizes depending on your preference. They also have a slideshow view, which is nice for guest viewing. System support for EXIF info as well.
[#Products#]
Imageevent is not for the recreational shopper. The product selection is fair, but the actual ordering process is dull and has bugs. Instead of a typical ecommerce setup, with pictures of the products and descriptions, Imageevent just has drop-down menus with prices. Good for those who want streamlined shopping, but bad for those who want to browse products and see what they are buying.
[#Prints#]
Prints are expensive, but available in multiple sizes and finishes, and printing can be done without cropping, if desired. Printing is done by third-party developers, such as Kodak or Fuji, so they are good quality, but this leads to their high prices.
[#Sharing#]
Sharing can be done by marking albums for public viewing and by sending email invites to friends with links to specific photos. A guestbook is provided for your viewers to leave comments.
[#Privacy#]
Imageevent provides varying levels of privacy to keep you photos from public view. You may mark the albums for linking only, for personal and/or guest viewing and for gallery publication. Passwords can be added to all pages to ensure further protection. These passwords can be given to guests that you would like to invite to view your files.
