Discussion
Forums
Do I need
to login to use the forums?
Discussion forums
can be accessed without registration, but to leave your own question
or comment, you must register and login. Your screen name will appear
next to your question so that others may converse with you.
How do
I use the discussion forums?
If
you have a specific question or issue to discuss, use the Search
tool to locate topics related to that issue. If you cannot find
a discussion already in progress that you feel might help, post
a new thread with the question or issue as the subject. Other users
will see your question and respond. Check back frequently for answers
and others who wish to converse on that subject. You can then choose
to reply back or thank the person for their input. General rules
of discussion forums apply, such as if you post a thread on a topic
already in progress, it may be deleted. Please read the Terms of
Use carefully.
Registration
Why
do I need to register?
You do not
need to register to use most of the site. Registration allows
guests to communicate with each other in discussion forums and
post their own reviews of photo sites. It also enables us to
block users who violate out Terms of use, such as with illegal
or inappropriate behavior.
How
will I receive the newsletter?
The
newsletter will be sent to the email address used for registration.
Ratings
and AboutPhoto Picks
What
method does AboutPhoto use to rate sites numerically?
We give each
site a numerical score in each of the review categories. These
scores are averaged, yielding the final numerical rating.
How
does AboutPhoto decide on AboutPhoto picks?
The “criteria”
under each topic is used to evaluate the websites and determine
the best sites for each of the specific uses.
What
is the difference between AboutPhoto Picks and numerical ratings?
The numerical
ratings are overall scores for the sites in each of the review
categories. The AboutPhoto Picks are evaluated for specific applications.
While a site might be highly recommended for bloggers, it may
have a low overall score due to lacking in other areas, such
as products selection, upload speed or navigation.
Where
can I find a site for a specific use?
AboutPhoto Picks
and More Help both contain information for finding sites for
specific applications.
Site
Selection Tool
How
do I use this tool?
Select the
criteria important to you and this module will return the best
matches. To get the best results, leave “No Preference”
or “Not Required” if a feature is not important
to you. The more criteria you enter, the narrow your search
will be.
